Grungy boy LO
I am sooooo sorry about the stodgy photos... I promise I am working on it.... but I am between houses and must have packed my camera (hopefully) and will get it when I unpack.
In the meantime, I think if you squint, tilt your head to the left slightly and stick out your tongue just a little.... the photos look alot clearer.... and bigger somehow {!!!!}
Here is a piccy of a LO I have used with the great packs available in the shop, lots of yummy scrummy little pieces all over and a photo of my little man looking all cute and innocent....

Is a closeup easier??? Here is featured a vintage bingo card {LOVE THEM!!!} in the paper packs, a playing card and a vintage monopoly ticket .....
and a vintage "garment alteration" tag I have used for journalling the date on .... so very sweet.

Music to your ears
Have you heard the great news?
Our very popular Vintage Paper Packs now include music sheets. They look great as backgrounds or punch them out and create something a bit different like my butterfly mobile.
We are also happy to report that a new supplier for baker's twine has been found and you know what that means.... an even lower price! That's right all our lovely baker's twine colours are now 30 cents a yard.

Vintage Child Care
I have always said that the inspiration for Old Favourites came from my grandmother. Whilst visiting her the other day she unearthed this treasure for me. This well read book was issued by the Department of Health, Victoria during the 1960's to new mothers. It is full of fabulous advice like " In the ante-natal period, a husband if possible should spare her (his wife) any emotional strain". It was interesting to find that a lot of the information still rings true today.

Bells and butterflies
So usually I leave all the creative stuff up to Mel. With all the work I do 'behind the scenes' of Old Favourites the reason I started up with website has been pushed to the side. It wasn't until someone called me up on it before I realised it! So this year I am going to renew my passion for craft. It has taken me a couple of days of 'playing' in my craft room to get back into the swing of things.
Today I thought I would share with you a cute idea for using vintage paper scraps and a bit of upcycling.
I remembered I had a set of brass bells on a tatty old piece of string, don't know where I got it from but I just know it has always been there, and some cute butterflies I had punched out of some vintage music paper (they are so cute and have been dying to use them in some way).
I joined them together and voila!
